Director of Finance

We are looking for a Director of Finance to join our trailblazing team and serve as a strategic advisory partner to the Executive Team. As the Director of Finance, you will lead and own all aspects of Altress’s finance function in a highly visible role. This is an exciting opportunity to craft and refine financial planning processes and best practices for a high-growth startup, directly impacting its scalability.

What you’ll do:

Partner with Executive Team to define strategy/growth plans

·       Provide analytical and financial insight to inform Executive Team’s decision-making on corporate strategy, growth and investment

·       Work with Executive Team to develop KPIs and set growth targets

·       Identify and interpret issues as well as growth opportunities (i.e. develop cost-saving initiatives in different departments)

·       Support future fundraising efforts or debt financing

·       Assist with creating financial presentations for quarterly board meetings

·       Serve as finance liaison for all corporate development activities, such as product launches, marketing partnerships and supply chain efficiencies, providing financial analysis

·       Assist with special projects/ad hoc financial analyses on new potential business initiatives

Drive actionable strategy/growth plans to achieve financial targets

·       Set annual budget and break down Altress’s strategy and growth plans into individual department measures, budgets and targets.

·       Build and maintain 3-statement financial models based on proposed strategies, factoring in stress-test assumptions, and prepare detailed bottoms-up forecasts

·       Regularly evaluate business performance against objectives and targets

·       Forecast working capital requirements

·       Align cross-departmentally on inventory buying

Financially supervise and report company operations

·       Lead all financial budgeting, planning, forecasting, reporting, as well as cash flow analysis and financial modelling

·       Work closely with our accountant to ensure proper controls/checks and balances are embedded in finance function and throughout the business

·       Define and track key financial metrics/benchmarks for individual departments as well as the company overall

·       Analyze and compare budgets vs. spends to hold departments accountable

·       Automate cash flow reporting process

 

Who you are:

·       Finance professional with a Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of financial management experience, preferably in investment banking, consulting, FP&A or private equity; solid management experience is a major plus

·       Data junkie + Excel/PowerPoint wizard - you are results driven and love compiling numbers, building financial models and preparing decks to clearly convey analysis, conclusions and guide informed decision making

·       Exceptional communicator with high EQ – you will have to build strong internal relationships, clearly convey conclusions and recommendations to senior leadership, and serve as a trusted sounding board who can provide honest feedback (if something does not make sense, you are not afraid to question it)

·       Collaborator with no ego – you have an all-hands-on-deck attitude, learn quickly, excel at synergizing cross-departmentally and are seen as an ally by your colleagues in building consensus on initiatives

·       Enterprising and creative problem solver with flexible approach in an inherently unstructured environment – you are entrepreneurial, highly self-motivated and keep the trains running on time with little oversight

·       Adept at distilling complex analyses/nuanced issues into simple/logical frameworks with concrete action plans – you enjoy crafting elegant solutions out of ambiguity

·       Deeply organized, methodical, highly attentive to detail and reliable – you are process-oriented with a bias towards execution

Chief Marketing Officer

We are looking for a Chief Marketing Officer to join our trailblazing team and deliver marketing initiatives that will immediately drive web traffic, grow brand equity and revenue. You will identify Altress’s target customers through data collection, define the Altress marketing strategy accordingly, and make calculated decisions on budget allocation based on your conclusions. This is an exciting opportunity to spearhead and own the marketing strategy for a high-growth startup.

What you’ll do:

Define, oversee and execute Altress’s branding and marketing

·       Plan and execute Go-To-Market strategy

  • Own PR function: plan organic PR approach, lead all messaging and communication strategies and secure brand placement

  • Identify/establish brand partnerships and/or sponsor opportunities with synergistic brands

  • Develop/organize/execute trunk show experiences to reach target audiences

  • Help develop branding – refine Altress’s voice/image in all creative/content

  • Help develop/execute content strategy (i.e. website, social, any print collateral) in alignment with brand vision

  • Ensure brand consistency in messaging and positioning across all consumer touch points (website, social media, packaging, displays, collateral, media, PR)

·       Align all branding/marketing initiatives and consumer touch points with overall business objectives

  • Architect integrated brand strategy to build brand recognition, optimize direct traffic and reduce reliance on search, through test & learn

  • Oversee SEO, SEM, paid searches and marketing analytics – analyze ROIs of campaigns and strategize marketing investments accordingly

·       Consistently review and upgrade programmatic marketing/branding competencies

·       Vet and engage outside agencies/consultants as needed to drive best in class execution

Analyze customer insights to inform Altress’s marketing strategy

·       Collect/synthesize customer feedback and data across marketing touch points

·       Propose additional low-cost customer insights/opportunities (i.e. friends & family surveys, consumer interviews to identify marketing or product opportunities)

·       Formulate phase-wise approach to customer service model (short-term with limited resources vs. longer-term with greater resources)

Who you are:

·       Marketing professional with Bachelor’s Degree (MBA a plus) with 7+ years of proven digital marketing experience in progressively senior leadership roles, ideally with substantial experience in both creative/data-driven marketing roles

·       Seasoned consumer marketer with B2C retail/e-commerce experience and bent for full-funnel approach

·       Your love for building online brands is evident through extensive experience growing brand equity, bringing products to market, and managing successful, high-yield campaigns

·       A natural leader with strong drive to action – you are able to build/manage teams around you and inspire others to produce their best work

·       A strategic thinker comfortable crafting elegant solutions out of ambiguity

·       A relentless, resourceful and hands-on entrepreneurial spirit

Director of Operations

We are looking for a Director of Operations to join our trailblazing Executive Team and serve as a strategic advisory partner to the CEO as well as an important liaison between all departments. As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for driving efficacy and growth across all operations, leading and developing employees, and overseeing all systems and procedures in a highly visible role. What you’ll do:

Manage company operations

·       Manage day-to-day operations of the business and all e-commerce aspects of www.altress.com, including ensuring order fulfillment, managing returns/exchanges, customer service

·       Own customer service function - instill and maintain a relentless focus on supporting Altress’s customers and ensuring excellent customer experience

Partner with Executive Team to define strategy/growth plans

·       Provide analytical and operational insight to aid the Executive Team in making informed decisions on corporate strategy, growth and investment

·       Work with Executive Team to develop KPIs, set growth targets and solidify organizational objectives

·       Identify and interpret issues as well as growth opportunities

·       Contribute to building a company culture of excellence

Craft and build operating procedures and systems to achieve strategy/growth targets

·       Design and implement organizational systems from inception, factoring in accountability, flexibility and scalability

·       Continuously evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives, reevaluate inefficient processes and apply valuable improvements to prevent bottlenecks

·       Establish key reporting metrics for each department with effective strategies to achieve both organizational and functional goals

Who you are:

·       Operations professional with Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of high-performing work experience in operations, strategy, e-commerce startup, or a variety of other specialty roles

·       A track record of deep involvement in process redesign, implementation, project management and customer experience optimization

·       Experience in retail, e-commerce, consumer goods or manufacturing preferred

·       You are extremely process-oriented – you not only have direct experience creating/optimizing processes, you actually enjoy creating order out of chaos

·       Your desire and passion to drive excellence within organizations is backed by demonstrated successes in setting company strategy, driving efficiency and scalability, and guiding investment in people and systems

·       Deeply knowledgeable/versed on diverse business functions and principles (supply chain, order fulfillment, customer service, etc.) 

·       Exceptional communicator and leader – comfortable partnering with the Executive Team, who will rely heavily on your leadership to run a well-organized and successful operation; you thrive in a lean, collaborative team environment that embraces open and direct communication
